Let’s face it: The NFT space moves really fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.
Don’t get us wrong — the more people onboarded into the space, the merrier. But because of the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the news, launches, and general happenings.
Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you, as we pull together a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss. Here’s what to look out for this week.
Logbook
Who: Logbook, curated by Michelle Thompson
What: Three open editions
When: March 13 @ 1 p.m. ET
Where: Nifty Gateway
Why: Logbook, the self-titled collection that comes from the mind of Sao Paulo-based artist Rodrigo Branco, is an unconventional open edition drop featuring three unique NFTs. With Logbook, Branco aims to make use of digital and analogical media to create NFTs that represent the logic of the many pieces he’s created via traditional painting.
Look Again
Who: CTHDRL
What: Visual puzzle
When: March 15 @ Time TBA
Where: LookAga.in
Why: Look Again is a daily, on-chain visual puzzle platform created by digital design and experience studio CTHDRL. It’s billed as a “culture-signaling visual wordle.” Starting on March 15, a new puzzle will be launched each day, and there will be a daily bag of ETH on the line for those who participate.
Dreams Never Die Founder Pass
Who: Dreams Never Die
What: 1,000 membership NFTs
When: March 15 @ 5 p.m. ET (public sale)
Where: OpenSea
Why: The Founder Pass is a membership-based NFT collection created by Dreams Never Die, an artist company and music community built by (and for) music lovers. The primary purpose of the collection is to fund Dreams Never Die’s mission to discover and develop new artists, fuel the intersection of Web3 and music, host events, and more.
Stuck in a Pattern
Who: Brooke DiDonato
What: Limited editions
When: March 15 @ 6:30 p.m. ET
Where: Nifty Gateway
Why: Stuck in a Pattern is a forthcoming collection from New York-based surrealist photographer and nft now Next Up alum Brooke DiDonato. Although little is currently known about the collection, DiDonato has eluded to the fact that it will feature at least three pieces, all clad in her signature “uncanny eye candy” style. This drop will be hosted via Nifty Gateway Curated and will mark the first time the artist has released on the platform.
Merge
Who: howiseedatworld
What: Three 1/1s
When: March 16 @ 6:30 p.m. ET
Where: MakersPlace
Why: Merge is a new conceptual project created by Latvian 3D artist howiseedatworld. Leading up to the Ethereum blockchain merge that took place in September 2022, howiseedatworld says he intentionally avoided news surrounding the event. Instead, he implemented his own personal practices of “combining particles, mixing colors, and constantly moving forward” to influence visual representations of “merging,” now presented with this latest collection.
