Mixed Reactions
The trailer, a brief 20-seconds long and appearing to be shot in-engine, shows a Koda alongside hundreds of unique Bored Ape characters, before panning to a wider shot of a sunset over a forest where a cabin can be seen on a nearby clifftop.
The low frame rate of the trailer has attracted much attention, raising concerns about the performance capabilities of the Otherside metaverse.
My only suggestion to @OthersideMeta is to increase the frame rate. This trailer is running at what looks to be 30fps or less. Not good. pic.twitter.com/hSlUS1rjCw

Popular web3 influencer Jonah Blake laid his thoughts out plainly, whilst others, such as Sappy Seals founder @wabdoteth, took a more cynical view.

Reaction from holders of Yuga Labs NFTs – such as Bored Apes, Mutant Apes, and Otherdeed; the land NFTs for Otherside – were also mixed, with @BAYCBoshi stressing the importance of the high-profile Otherside project to the perception of the Bored Ape Yacht Club as a whole.
My opinion BAYC will live and die on the success of Otherside. This is where they spent ALL of their resources. This was why they hired gaming CEO. Everything they are doing is about Otherside.
I do think Otherside will be a success I just wish we had better communication on…

With only weeks before Trip 3 is set to arrive, time will tell if Otherside is on the path to success, or if the community concerns have merit.
