Leading NFT powered virtual world, The Sandbox, has partnered with Ledger Enterprise to help businesses safeguard their digital assets in the Metaverse. The partnership will provide additional security to enterprise clients utilizing The Sandbox platform, thus protecting them from rampant scams and hacks. In addition, it will save these businesses from mismanagement of assets, which has been evident in the space over the past few years.
According to the official statement, this partnership will feature multiple initiatives for both entities. The first will be the addition of The Sandbox dApp on Ledger Enterprise. This will simplify the process of acquiring LAND and interacting with the The Sandbox ecosystem for Ledger Enterprise clients. Additionally, a Sandbox widget will be added to the Ledger Live desktop app.

Furthermore, both companies will aim to promote each other’s services to their respective clients. For instance, The Sandbox will recommend Ledger as a custodial service to its LAND owners, while the hardware wallet solution will recommend The Sandbox to some of its interested clients. Finally, The Sandbox will also boost its security by migrating all NFTs held in its non-fungible token wallet to a secure Ledger Enterprise wallet.
The Sandbox and Ledger to Make the Metaverse Secure for Brands
In a statement, Sebastien Borget, cofounder and COO of the Sandbox, states that the platform is excited to deepen its partnership with Ledger to boost security for brands entering the Metaverse. He goes on to add that “we are making it easier for our users to access Ledger and for Ledger clients to access The Sandbox, and that will also make it easier and safer for individuals and brands to thrive in the metaverse.”
Alex Zinder, Head of Enterprise at Ledger, is equally enthused by the deal. He notes, “Ledger Enterprise is proud to provide the peace of mind that businesses and consumers deserve.”
The collaboration marks a major step for the Web3 space as both seek to boost security for enterprises in the Metaverse.
