Coinbase<\/strong>\u2019s new NFT marketplace, which rolled out last month.<\/p>\nHe claimed that such \u201cintegrations\u201d were \u201cdesigned to make crypto more accessible and help the NFT ecosystem keep growing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dhamodharan pointed at data from a survey conducted among Mastercard users (\u201c35,000 people in 40 countries\u201d), which found that 45% of customers \u201chad purchased an NFT or would consider doing so,\u201d with \u201croughly half\u201d wanting the ability \u201cto pay with crypto for everyday purchases.\u201d<\/p>\n
The firm added that it was \u201capplying\u201d its \u201cfull suite of capabilities to reinforce customer safety\u201d \u2013 claiming that NFT transactions would be protected with \u201csimilar\u201d levels of security to those used in offline or web-based purchases. It said that its \u201ccybersecurity tools\u201d would help ensure both safety and the integrity of user data.<\/p>\n
The Executive Vice President concluded that Mastercard saw \u201cenormous potential\u201d in the NFT market, and said that the payments provider was \u201clooking forward to continuing our work with all these companies to make sure this market can become even more welcoming, accessible, and easy.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier this year, the crypto outfit Nexo<\/strong>\u00a0(NEXO) announced it had issued a card \u2013 in partnership with Mastercard \u2013 that lets customers spend without first selling their digital assets.<\/p>\n____<\/p>\n
