Korea has caught the NFT bug and slowing crypto markets are not deterring collectors. Coinciding with the inaugural Frieze Seoul this past week, KIAF, the longest-running art fair in Korea, debuted its new KIAF Plus satellite fair with a focus on emerging artists whose work spans diverse genres and innovative practices, including new media art and art NFTs. Barry X Ball, an artist known for reimagining classical sculptures with unconventional methods and materials, premiered his first-ever digital artwork in partnership with LG Art Lab at Frieze Seoul. Titled Granulo-Specular Chiaroscuro Meta-morphs<\/em>, the NFTs transform a selection of his physical sculptures from precious metals and gemstones into 3D digital images with ultra-high surface detail designed to replicate the experience of tactility.\u00a0<\/p>\n
