One of the most prominent crypto communities in the space is that surrounding Bitcoin (BTC), with millions of users in Reddit groups and conferences across the globe. <\/p>\n<p>At the Bitcoin Prague 2023 conference, Wolf Von Lare, CEO of Students for Liberty, spoke with Cointelegraph about the nature of the Bitcoin community and how there is a place for anyone. <\/p>\n<figure><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Cointelegraph reporter Joe Hall with panelists at Bitcoin Prague 2023. Source: Cointelegraph<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Von Lare says the Bitcoin community might not be \u201cas welcoming,\u201d as people at events can often come off too technical or even \u201chardcore.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI&#8217;ve seen people walk away and say, oh this doesn&#8217;t seem like my tribe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe need to be more self-reflective and mature,\u201d he said. \u201cIf somebody wants to create a community, we need to be careful and ask do we know people that know Bitcoin? Can they explain Bitcoin well?\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Related: <\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Economics of Bitcoin ATM market could hinder wider adoption<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Instead, von Lare stressed how everyone has the ability to contribute to the ecosystem and that the \u201copenness of the network\u201d is reflected in the opportunities for people to join the network. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt\u2019s a marvelous thing to realize how everyone actually can produce value within the Bitcoin ecosystem. Anyone can make a contribution.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Others in the broader crypto industry have also spoken out on the importance of community within the space.
