The most recent filing involving asset manager BlackRock\u2019s attempt to launch a spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) included a \u201csurveillance-sharing agreement\u201d with cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.<\/p>\n
According to a June 29 filing with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, the Nasdaq stock exchange refiled for a proposed rule change allowing the listing of BlackRock\u2019s Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund. The filing included details of a June 8 agreement between the Nasdaq and Coinbase \u201cintended to supplement the exchange\u2019s market surveillance program\u201d and provide access to data on spot BTC trades.<\/p>\n
